Case Study: Special Event Tipis

Kate Lowe from Special Event Tipis approached me in 2019 about managing their web presence (SEO and PPC) as they weren’t getting the results that they were looking for from their previous agency. In particular, she wanted the business to be more prominent for ‘tipi hire cumbria’ and ‘tipi hire lake district’ searches and to be seen as the leading supplier of tipis in the north for weddings, corporate events and parties.

We started working together in June 2019 with a website audit which informed the strategy, areas of strength and weakness, and key deliverables.

The new Google Ads (PPC) campaign also went live in June. The old campaign had a low 1% click-through-rate and the spend was high. Their PPC campaign now has a 12.5% CTR and converts to leads at a rate of 3.76%.

In terms of organic search visibility, Special Event Tipis consistently ranks no.1 for the priority phrases they were looking to boost and is on the first page of results for all secondary phrases that we are targeting.

In the summer season of 2019, traffic from organic search grew by 57% compared to the same period in the previous year and online visibility has remained strong throughout 2020 despite the challenges.
