This week I attended the Google Partners Elevator programme graduation dinner in London at The Groucho Club, an exclusive and well-known members club in Soho. It was a lovely event and a real privilege to be there.
The evening started with presentations from Robert Craven of the Director’s Centre, Caroline Halpin of Google and Patrick Collister, Creative Director of ZOO and previously Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy and Mather.
Robert discussed some of the fantastic achievements by previous participants of the Elevator programme, two of whom won awards at the Google Partners conference in New York a few weeks ago, and Patrick gave us some insights into the creative endeavours at Google including Project Loon (balloon powered internet) and Project Makani (airborne wind energy).
The Groucho Club’s staff looked after us really well with a delicious dinner in stylish surroundings whilst we chatted and got to know some lovely folk from Google London and the other agency owners on the programme.
I was selected as one of 30 UK business owners to participate in the 6 month Elevator programme which provided business coaching to agencies that Google identified as having a strong potential for growth. You can read more about the Elevator programme here.
