Google launches a new tool called Google My Business

Google has today launched a new tool which is intended to help SME’s manage their presence on Google Search, Google Maps and Google+ in one place.

The new tool called Google My Business allows you to edit your business info on Google, share updates with customers, respond to reviews, and get data on how people find your business from insights and analytics, all from a single dashboard.

New Google My Business Tool

If you’ve already set up Google Places for Business or Google+ dashboard, you’ll find that your account has been automatically upgraded to Google My Business, or will be shortly.

A Google My Business mobile app has also been launched and is available now on Google Play, with an IOS version to follow soon.

This appears to be a good move by Google, simplifying the process to get on Maps and Google+, whilst also making it easier to post, share photos and respond to reviews, thus helping with content marketing and online reputation management.
